“Round Top” is, take Robinson Street to the
Lincoln Park entrance, and follow the purple
and gold balloon trail to the Round Top.

“WATCH-NET”
NEIGHBORHOOD SAFETY MEETINGS
Watch-Net is our new name for the
gathering of all Neighborhood Watch
block groups. The Watch-Net meetings
supplement the individual block
meetings. At the last meeting on July 8
th
,
Officer Diffin reviewed recent
neighborhood events around Herbst,
Pattison and in Lincoln Park.
Ben Gembler will be leaving August
20
th
as the Net facilitator, so we are
looking for a new facilitator to coordinate
between the Net and the Police
Department. Thanks Ben and NEDHA
for all your help.

IF IT'S AUGUST,
IT'S TIME FOR HOT DOGS!
Those, who have attended previous
Socials, know that it is just good fun –
meet, talk, and hang out with your
neighbors, your local police and firemen,
and have a hot dog – all on a summer's
evening with a vista of downtown (by the
way, the overgrowth has been cleared,
and we can now actually see downtown!).
Big Truck Shhh! Don't tell your
kids, but the there's going to be a real, big
truck – a fire truck! They will be able to
talk to the firemen, and the firemen will
give them a guided tour of the truck.
Awards There will be awards: the
Inspiration Awards for most beautiful
yards and gardens of the neighborhood,
and for organizations and individuals that
are helping and supporting our
neighborhood.
50/50 Raffle There will be a 50/50
raffle to benefit the LNHA programs.
Bring a Dish and a Chair LHNA
will provide the grills, hot dogs, plates
and plastic ware, and beverages. If you
can, bring a salad, a hot dish, muchies
and drip, or whatever – that will be
greatly appreciated. You may also want
to bring your lawn chairs for your
comfort.
Heaven forbid ... rain So far,
we haven't been rained out, but if the
Round Top is too wet, we will be down
under the Gazebo next to the pool house.

HOUSES FOR SALE !!!!
The Fifth New House in Lincoln Hill
Joining the three new houses on Shuart and
the new house on Pattison, is our 5
th
newest
house of 127 Shuart Avenue. The listed price
is $135,000. Home Headquarters is putting
the finishing touches on it. On the first floor,
you can use the rear room as either a bedroom
or and office. This house has a front yard
view of the Shuart Green Space. Contact

The seed sown by the Syracuse
Neighborhood Initiative is continuing to
grow. Here’s a list of the new
investments that have been made.
The First, Second and Third new
houses are on Shuart Avenue.
The Fourth new house is on Pattison,
and recently sold.
The Sixth new house was built last
year by NEHDA at Sedgewick and
Robinson, and has a new owner
occupant family.
The Seventh proposed new house is
on the corner of Dorothy and Vine.
LHNA approved the sale of the lot to
NEHDA. Because of the sloped site, a
new design will be required for this site.
The Eighth, Ninth, Tenth, and
Eleventh new house are in the
planning stages for Robinson and
Winton. A private builder has applied
to re-subdivide the lots, and the designs
have been submitted for building
permits.
